PRAYING FOR YOUR HUSBAND  (CHURCH LEADERS, SONS,  young people, children, etc.)

Nancy DeMoss has a download available for praying for your husband for 31 days. I will refer to just a few of the suggested prayers for your husband. For those who are single women your ministry can be one of prayer for our spiritual leaders and  the young people in the church.

The Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to pray for one another Eph. 6:18 (KJV)  “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

Earnest prayer for your husband is good for him, for you and the spiritual health of your home.  (Prov. 31:11-12). Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your husband and marriage to the Lord’s wise, loving care.

Pray that your husband will experience spiritual growth and guard his heart by Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation and scripture memorization. (2 Pet. 3:18  ”But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

Pray that your husband’s relationship with God and His Word will bear fruit in his life. Pray that he will be wise and God-fearing.   Proverbs 3: 7-8 (NIV) “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”

Pray that your husband’s heart will be tender toward the voice of the      Lord. Psalm 51:2-4 (NIV) “Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.  For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.”

Pray that your husband will love righteousness and hate the evils of todays culture, and avoid it. Proverbs 27:12 (NIV) “The prudent see danger and take refuge,  but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.”

–  Pray that his heart will be pure and undivided in his commitment to you.  Romans 13:14  (NIV)” Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.”

Ladies, You have a ministry,  a “Great Commission” trough Prayer.  The prayer’s suggested in Nancy’s Challenge to pray for your husbands could fit anyone you are praying for with just a few minor alterations. Let’s be prayer warriors.  All of us, for everyone.

  1. Thanks for praying, Mom…. it is sometimes the last thing we think of and the most important and impactful thing that we can do.
