Victory Through Christ

2 Corinthians 4:7-10 (KJV)  7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.    8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;                9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Victory over the penalty of sin = through forgiveness  and immediate forgiveness as soon as we confess our sins and receive Christ as our Saviour. This union with Christ is the foundational concept of the life of grace. Christ’s resurrection demonstrated His victory over sin. Now that you are united with Christ in His resurrection, you have the victory over sin. Consider this as true! Believe it! You are saved by God’s grace and you are on the victory side! (Romans 6:13, 16, 19).

Victory over death – Christ’s death was sufficient

We are to present—to yield or offer—our bodies to God. This involves responsibility to serve.  Yes, Works. Not to save us but a result of our salvation.  Don’t go on presenting the members of your body to sin. The picture is of a soldier presenting his weapons to his commander and awaiting his instructions. Sin uses the members of your body to wage war against you.  It is important that Born again Christian set about to serve him.

Revelation 12:10   “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night”.

One of satan’s campaigns against God is in the area of trying to break our trust of God, such as in Job, and the Book of Revelation says that satan is, has been and will be doing that “day and night”.

Let us be faithful in prayer for one another the the Lord will give Christian victory over satan’s attempt to sidetrack us on our journey for Christ.

Victory over the presence of sin – heavenly rewards will be separation from sin.

We all need to come to the place where we can join God on his side of the heavenly battle, in JOY, defeating satan.

We can softly and confidently say to God our Father,

“I don’t understand, but I love you and trust in YOU. Don’t let me waver nor let You down in this battle.  Thank you, Lord,  for the victories you have won for me by your death on the cross.  Thank you for assurance of salvation and life after death.  Lord, give me daily JOY and victory over sin .”

(small ’s’ on satan is my desire in my life the Lord helping me)
